My name is Marilyn and I have been providing care in the Thorndale area since 2004. We have a mix of schedule and flexibility that I have found makes for happy, well-rounded children. I seldom have to discipline the children and they are respectful and use good manners. At every playtime you can hear lots laughter and see lots of smiles.
Our day is filled with healthy snacks and meals, lots of indoor and outdoor play, music, baking, colouring, playdough and painting. There is a quiet time every afternoon where the children can recharge their batteries.
I do not have a circle time where we learn academics, but as we sit at the table for snacks and meals, we talk about many different things. I have lots of toys that the children use in a variety of ways. Empty boxes are still their most favourite! Every two to three weeks I rotate the toys to keep everyone interested.
